Telehealth allows you to connect with a healthcare provider virtually from the comfort of your home, office, or anywhere you have a secure internet connection. During your visit, a provider can evaluate your symptoms, answer questions, provide medical advice, and determine the best next steps for your care.
Many insurance plans cover Telehealth visits, but coverage varies by plan. We recommend checking with your insurance provider regarding your specific benefits. Self-pay options may also be available.
Virtual visits must be completed through a secure video connection. You will need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone to meet with your provider.
If your provider determines that medication is appropriate for your condition, they may send a prescription to your preferred pharmacy. Some medications and conditions may require an in-person evaluation.
The cost of a virtual visit depends on your insurance coverage and benefits. If you are self-pay, a virtual visit will cost $79.
You will need a device with a camera and microphone, such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer, as well as a reliable internet connection. You should also choose a quiet, private location where you can comfortably discuss your health concerns with your provider.
Virtual visits are available for patients aged 6 months and older. Children may be seen with a parent or legal guardian present during the visit.
Virtual visits are a convenient option for many common, non-emergency conditions, including cold and flu symptoms, allergies, cough, sore throat, minor infections, rashes, and other routine medical concerns. Your provider will determine the best treatment plan based on your symptoms.
Your insurance benefits, including copays and deductibles, may apply to virtual visits depending on your specific plan. We recommend checking with your insurance provider for details about your coverage.
You should choose an in-person visit if you:
- Need testing, lab work, imaging, or a physical examination
